Or as I prefer to call it, the land of the tacos! It's been a lovely reunion between the city and I over the past 5 weeks. I was going to try and make a list of all the cool things I've done in SAY-town but who am I kidding? My time here has been a mash-up of work, Parks and Recreation, tacos and THE SPURS!!!
I know y'all aren't even a little surprised that I'm almost done with another TV show. Guys. Parks and Rec. This is a good one. We should of listened to Darcie a long time ago. It'll contest with New Girl for Brooke's loudest crackle laugh. Please watch it so we can talk about who our favorite character is. Tom. No, April. No, Ron. Arrrrggg please just watch it.
But most importantly, the SPURS! The drive for cinco has consumed San Antonio over the past month. I've never been in town when we've been in the finals so this past week has been so much fun!! The entire city has completely come together to back this team. The windows in the businesses are painted, Spurs flags are on the cars, everyone is decked out in Spurs clothes, everyone is talking about the Spurs. Spurs, Spurs. SPURSSSS!! I could go on and on about why this team is the best in the world but I'll spare you.As fin as it's been to watch them DOMINATE it's almost been more fun to be a part of a city that is so loyal to their soil.

<![CDATA[Memorial Day Weekend]]>Wed, 05 Jun 2013 16:37:54 GMThttp://www.drumcilhenny.com/blog/1What better way to start off my summer than at the place I've spent the past 11. Work week at LLYC is a time when anyone can come out and help set up and get ready for the summer. We spent much of the weekend in the kitchen cleaning, feeding and cooking and I wouldn't have it any other way. A piece of my heart will always be in that Singing Hills kitchen..
Seriously. Is there anything more beautiful than this view? I got to watch every sunset of the weekend from this spot.
I expected to feel sad or bitter about about leaving this place I love so much and returning to the real world in San Antonio. But surprisingly, I felt confident in the work I had done and the memories I made at Camp. I felt excited for the plans The Lord has not only my future, but the future of LLYC.
